About Angie Spivey, LCSW

Angie currently focuses on work with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She graduated from New York University's MSW program in 2005 with honors. She has been the Clinical Director for two substance use disorder partial hospitalization programs and has run three intensive outpatient programs. For many years Angie provided interventions, counseling, and private concierge services with utmost discretion for leaders of business and those in the entertainment industry. She was featured on Dr. Phil in 2012 as part of a story on saving two women struggling with addiction. Angie has been in private practice since 2013. In addition to psychotherapy, she is a certified level one yoga instructor. She volunteered for Free Arts in NYC for many years. After 9/11 she volunteered with children and adults as part of the triage team in the aftermath. With a previous career in dramatic arts in New York and training in art therapy, Angie integrates art therapy into her work when therapeutically appropriate.

When not in session, you can find Angie traveling with her spouse, practicing meditation, and enjoying the outdoors from seas to summits! Angie's spouse is a working artist and together they enjoy arts of all kinds whenever possible.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
